1.    Smarting - (verb-smart)feel upset and annoyed
Eg- Smarting from the recent quota violence and arson, CM faces an ardous task of tabling the bill.

2.    Afoot - in preparation or progress
 Eg- Exams begin today, steps afoot to check copying.

3.    Chasm – a gap or a sudden interruption
Eg- In a bid to fill the chasm among communities due to violence

4.    Perpetrators – S/o who has committed a crime
Eg- 35 non-jat communities had come together to save themselves from perpetrators who were having a free run in the city.

5.    Convene(verb) – come or bring together for a meeting
Eg- Organisations are convening meetings to make amends.

6.    Instigate – (verb) – start or initiate or incite s/o to do s/t
Eg- They instigated protesters to resort to violence

7.    Wane – (verb) –( of the moon)disappear
Eg- The moon is waning

Wane- (of feeling or state) decrease in extent
Eg- Support for strike is waning.

8.    Moot – raise a question or topic for discussion
Eg- The proposal was mooted by the ministry.

9.    Cavalcade – riding of the vehicles
Eg- Cavalcade of Union Minister Smriti Irani.

10. Baron – an important or powerful person
Eg- Liquor baron Vijay Mallya
